About Grandma Katie's Custom Butcher

Our Story

Our Story

Grandma Katie's Custom Butcher was started as a way to use the family land to continue our heritage of farming.  We wanted to build a family legacy while teaching our children the meaning of hard work and self reliance. 

The name is a tribute to the hardest working woman you will ever meet, Mom.

We are a family owned business, if you work here you are family.   The land we are on has been in the family for 4 generations.  Our for forefathers plowed this land behind a mule to feed his family.   We strive to continue this hard working tradition by serving our community by providing an honest option to processes your home grown meat.

We have converted two shipping containers to create a clean safe environment to processes your animal.  We offer secure pens for early drop off and a relaxing environment to ensure the best tasting meat.

We have a $100 Kill/Carcass disposal fee and $600 processing fee. 

If the Hanging Weight is above 600lbs a $1/lb will be applied. 

 A 600lb HW = $700

A 400lb HW = $700

A 700lb HW = $800 

Hanging Weight,HW, is after the animal has been killed, blood drained, head, hide, feet, entrails & organs removed. The hanging weight is usually about 60

We do not processes Wild Hogs.

During deer season we will processes your deer for $100.  The deer should be quartered and on ice. 

If the deer needs to be skinned it should be field dressed and an additional fee of $25 will be charged.  

**Deer will not be accepted without a valid FWC Number**

We do not have un-attended drop off. Please coordinate your drop off with a phone call.

You can print your cut sheet and fill it out before you drop off your animal, or we can fill one out together at drop off.

We look forward to meeting you, but please call before you visit and respect the other who live on the farm by driving slow.
